Nomex® (Meta- Aramid)

DuPont™ Nomex® is a high temperature resistant, aromatic Polyamide- fibre type (Meta-Aramid) by DuPont™.

Nomex® fibre is characterised in particular by its inherent, flame retardancy, it is non-melting or dripping and, in addition to excellent mechanical resilience, also offers good resistance to chemicals.

Those properties create a unique range of applications compared to other natural and synthetic fibres. For this reason, DuPont™ Nomex® is used especially in demanding applications, in the field of protective clothing (firefighters, police, industry, military) as well as technical applications to protect life or machinery.

Kevlar® (Para- Aramid)

DuPont™ Kevlar® is one of the best-known brands for para-aramid fibres.

 

Outstanding, permanent heat resistance without dripping or melting in combination with high mechanical resilience (e. g. abrasion resistance, cut protection)  recommends DuPont™ Kevlar® fibre as an excellent choice for various PPE applications.

The extremely high tensile strength in relation to the specific weight, as well as good insulation properties and resistance to solvents also make it a preferred fibre in the field of technical applications.

Fabric blends

In order to combine as many positive characteristics of fibres as possible and adapt them to your applications, we can offer various aramid blended fabrics covering a wide range of applications.

These include DuPont™ Nomex®/ Viscose FR in different weights for the areas of (firefighting) station uniform / lining material / wildland fire fighters / industrial protective clothing.

As one of only a few suppliers, we can offer you woven fabrics made of Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene such as Dyneema® for your highest stab protection level applications.

Amongst others we are offering special fabrics e. g. made of glass-para-aramid, for the highest possible level of cut and stab protection combined with low weight for usage in the shoe / glove industry as well as PPE clothing.

For high temperature applications in steel, heavy industry or machine protection, we offer various fabrics made of preox-para-aramid blends or regenerates.

In addition to that we offer preox-para-aramid fabrics or regenerates aluminised or coated.

As part of our MULTILIGHT series, we are offering Hi-Vis multinorm fabrics made of Aramid-Viscose FR-Modacrylic-Polyester-Antistatic in the colours bright orange and bright yellow as well as contrast colours. It offers an extensive protection against various hazards.
